LOUIS F. FATTORE was born in Camden, New Jersey on February 4, 1945 to Mario Fattore and his wife, the former Alfreda Ostruska. He was named after his late uncle, Sergeant Louis Fattore, who was killed in action while serving with the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment in Sicily in 1943. Besides young Louis, the Mario Fattore family included two daughters, Kathi and Michelle.

On March 2, 1948 Mario Fattore was appointed to the Camden Fire Department. He reported to duty with Engine Company 6 the following day. 

The 1956 New Jersey Bell Telephone Directory shows the Fattore family living at 1222 Morton Street. By October of 1959 they had moved to 1082 Thurman Street

Mario Fattore served with Engine 6 until health problems caused him to retire on a disability 

pension in June of 1961. The Fattores later moved to 4103 Camden Avenue in Pennsauken. They were living there when on February 9, 1967 Louis F. Fattore was appointed to the Camden Fire Department. He had served for just under seven years when he retired on a disability pension, on January 1, 1974. 

Louis F. Fattore lived for a time at 2540 Bank Street in East Camden, and later with his parents at 421 Sloan Avenue in Collingswood. Louis F. Fattore was living in West Collingswood, New Jersey when he died unexpectedly on July 28, 2001. He was survived by his mother and his sisters.

Suddenly on July 28, 2001 Louis, age 56, of W. Collingswood, NJ. Son of Alfreda (nee Ostruska) & the late Mario. Brother of Kathi Keller of Lakeoswego, OR & Michaelle Pennisi of Collingswood. Relatives & friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10am at St. Joseph Church, 10th & Mechanic St, Camden, NJ. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Viewing Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30am at the PREDPELSKI FUNERAL HOME, 983 Haddon Ave, Collingswood, NJ.
