EDWARD NORMAN MORGENWECK was born on December 21, 1921 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Edward Morgenweck was the son of Edward and Catherine Morgenweck. The family was living at 635 Linden Street in Camden when the Census was taken in April of 1930. His father was then working as a welder at one of Camden's many shipyards, while his mother worked as a cashier at Elks Lodge No. 293's building at 807 Cooper Street. 

The Morgenweck family moved to East Camden during the 1930s. When the 1940 Camden City Directory was compiled they were 

living at 462 North 34th Street. Edward Morgenweck was working as an apprentice welder at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, where his father also worked. When America went to war, Edward Morgenweck enlisted in the United States Navy and served in submarines. After the war he returned to Camden and work in the shipyards on the Delaware River. 

The 1947 Camden City Directory shows that his father had passed away, and that Edward N. Morgenweck was living with his widowed mother at 538 North 7th Street in North Camden, where he stayed through at lest October of 1956. By the fall of 1959 Edward N. Morgenweck had moved to 1129 Beideman Avenue in Cramer Hill.

Edward  N. Morgenweck was appointed to the Camden Fire Department on June 30, 1958. He was promoted to Captain on January 14, 1971. He completed his long and distinguished career on January 1, 1984.

Last a resident of Pennsauken, New Jersey, Edward N. Morgenweck passed away on February 28, 2011.
