PRIVATE EDWARD A. ZENOBI was born in 1923, the son of Quinto and Teresa Zenobi. The Zenobi family resided at 221 Parker Avenue in Woodlynne NJ. He had attended Collingswood (NJ) High School as a member of the class of 1942, but left school during his first year, joining the Army Reserves on June 15, 1940. The Army recorded his year of birth as 1921, his family, however recorded his birth as 1923. He was called to active duty soon after, when the reserves were activated in 1940, with a field artillery unit stationed at Fort Dix NJ. Private Zenobi served at Fort Dix from the date he was activated until his death, as a result of a gunshot wound, on December 1, 1940.

Private Zenobi was survived by his parents, a sister, Isabel, and brothers Alexander, Frank, and Eugene. He was buried at Calvary Cemetery in Delaware Township (present day Cherry Hill) NJ.
