PRIVATE FIRST CLASS JOSEPH R. PAUL, JR., was born on April 5, 1920 to Joseph R. and Ethel Paul. He lived at 255 South Logan Avenue in Audubon NJ.  A 1938 graduate of Camden County Vocational and Technical School in Pennsauken NJ, he worked at the RCA-Victor plant in Camden before his induction into the Army in January of 1942, and was sent overseas in February, 1944. 

Private First Class Joseph Paul Jr. died of wounds on the island of Morotai in the South Pacific on October 31, 1944. He was survived by his parents, a brother, Private First Class Harry L. Paul, and a sister, Ethel.

Joseph Paul was brought home in 1948 aboard the USAT George W.G. Boyce. He was buried at Locustwood Cemetery in Delaware Township (present-day Cherry Hill) NJ on June 26, 1948.
