SECOND LIEUTENANT JOHN WILLARD DANSER was born in 1919 in New Jersey to John & Harriet Danser. His father was in the real estate and insurance business, and the family made its home at 27 West Chestnut Avenue, in Merchantville NJ until at least April of 1930. They later moved to 3350 Springfield Avenue in neighboring Pennsauken NJ. Besides John, there was an older brother, Theodore Montfort Danser. John Danser enlisted in the United States Army in August of 1942. While he was stationed at Maxwell Field AL, his mother Harriet Danser, passed away after a long illness, on November 27, 1942.

John Danser qualified for flight duty after entering the United States Army. He died while serving with the 3rd Bomber Training Squadron in North Africa, and is buried at North Africa American Cemetery at Carthage, Tunisia. He was survived by his father and his brother Theodore, then a  Naval officer.
