PRIVATE RAYMOND PRICE was born in Camden NJ on March 1, 1908. His early years were spent in Camden, where his parents Seaman and Bessie Price, lived at 2116 Berwick Street. He was the youngest of four brothers, the others being Edward, Samuel, and Earl. In 1920 Seaman Price supported his family by working as a shaver in a leather works, in Camden. By 1930 the Price family had moved to Pennsauken NJ, where they rented a home at 7226 Park Avenue. Raymond Price by this time was working in a leather works himself. He was involved in a minor traffic accident in October of 1936, which was reported in the Camden Courier-Post. By the time of the war, Raymond Price had moved to the house next door at 7315 Park Avenue in Pennsauken NJ. He was a member of the South Jersey Quoit Club, and was working for the John R. Evans & Company prior to being inducted into the United States Army on December 1, 1943. Three other John R. Evans employees, Francis J. Knox, Norbert C. Rowan, and Morris Wilson Rickenbach Jr. also gave their lives for America during World War II. 

After basic training at Camp Croft SC, Raymond Price was sent overseas as an infantry replacement and was assigned to the 60th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division. He was killed in action in France on July 26, 1944. His death was reported in the October 24, 1944 edition of the Camden Courier-Post. After the war, his body was returned to the United States, and he was buried at Beverly National Cemetery in Beverly NJ on July 13, 1948. Raymond Price was survived by his brothers, Earl and Samuel, of Pennsauken, and Edward of Delanco NJ.
