PRIVATE ALBERT G. WEISSER was born in Pennsylvania in 1915. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Weisser, grew up in Audubon NJ. Living at 447 Chestnut Street, he graduated from Audubon High School in 1937. A fine baseball player, he played first base for the Magnolia team in the Lower County Baseball League in 1938. Before entering the Army in 1942, he had married his wife Hazel and was employed at the Radio Corporation of America plant in Camden NJ. The young couple made their home in the then new Westfield Acres housing project, at Westfield Avenue and Rosedale Street in East Camden.

Private Albert Weisser was killed in action in Italy on November 25, 1944, at the age of 29. He was survived by his wife, parents, and a sister Evelyn. A Mass was said for him at St. Rose of Lima Church in Haddon Heights NJ on November 9, 1944.

HE WAS INDUCTED IN THE ARMY IN 1942. HE SERVED WITH THE 351ST INFANTRY, 88TH DIVISION, SERVING OVERSEAS IN ITALY. HE WAS KILLED IN ACTION ON SEPTEMBER 25, 1944 WHILE IN ITALY. HE IS BURIED IN AMERICAN CEMETERY, NEAR FLORENCE, ITALY.
