HOSPITAL APPRENTICE FIRST CLASS WILLIAM SOLOMON was born on March 12, 1910. He lived in Collingswood for many years. On February 7, 1938 he married Alice Miller. The Solomons live at 1655 Park Boulevard in the Parkside section of Camden, New Jersey after they wed, before moving to 448 Pfeiffer Street in East Camden. 

Prior to entering the Navy in the summer of 1943, William H. Solomon was employed by the New York Shipbuilding Company in Camden as a steelworker. 

William H. Solomon was killed in action on April 28, 1944. Available recrds indicate that he was in the English Channel at the time of his death.

William H. Solomon was survived by his wife, Alice Lena Solomon, and a 15 month-old daughter, Rebecca Ann. They were living at 15 Pine Street in Westville, New Jersey when he died.
