CORPORAL ARLINGTON BALTIMORE was born January 9, 1897 in Philadelphia PA to Henry and Farrenda Baltimore. Henry and Farrenda Baltimore had come north from Virginia. They had married around 1891. A son Frank E. Baltimore, was born in Pennsylvania in 1894. The Baltimore family had moved to 776 Cherry Street in Camden NJ by 1900. Henry Baltimore worked as a day laborer. They moved to 713 Cherry Street in Camden NJ by the time of World War I. Henry Baltimore worked as a janitor in the offices of the Pennsylvania Railroad, and Arlington found work alongside him. 

Arlington Baltimore was drafted on September 26, 1918, and was sent to Camp Dix NJ as a member of Company C, 5th Battalion, 153rd Depot Brigade. He contracted Spanish influenza and died on October 5, 1918, only nine days after reporting for duty. He was survived by his parents and brother, Frank Baltimore, all of the Cherry Street address. Arlington Baltimore was buried at Mount Peace cemetery in what was then Center Township NJ. Center Township was split up a few years later into several boroughs, one of them being Lawnside, within whose borders the cemetery is presently located.

The Baltimores were still on Cherry Street as late as April of 1930. Henry Baltimore passed away in 1938, and was buried next to his son.
