SECOND LIEUTENANT RONALD CHARLES OSBORNE was born March 16, 1941 to William D. Osborne and his wife, the former Mildrande Rogers. The family lived at 218 Virginia Avenue in Haddon Township when the census was taken in 1940 and were still at that address as late as October of 1959. Ronald Charles Osborne graduated from Collingswood High School in Collingswood, New Jersey in 1959. He graduated from Bucknell University in 1963.

After entering the United States Army and graduating from Artillery Officers Candidate School at Fort Sill Oklahoma Ronald C. Osborne was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. He had also graduated from the Army's International Language School in Monterey, California. On July 16, 1966 Second Lieutenant Osborne began his tour of duty in Vietnam. He served with Battery C, 3rd Battalion, 82nd Artillery Regiment, 196th Light Infantry Brigade. He was killed in action on December 4, 1966 in Vietnam. Second Lieutenant Osborne was survived by his parents and his sister Arlene Osborne.

Second Lieutenant Osborne was brought home and buried on December 12, 1966 at Section 1, Site 1657 Arlington National Cemetery. His parents had moved to North Palm Beach, Florida prior to his death and the Department of Defense lists that as his home of record. His parents lived out their days in Florida but are buried in Berlin Cemetery in Berlin, New Jersey.
