SPECIALIST 4th CLASS GUY PAUL GUADAGNO was born on May 10, 1948 in Providence, Rhode Island. 

Specialist 4th Class Guadagno's MOS enlisted in the United States Army on July 23, 1965. He received his basic training at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He married a Jersey girl, Margaret Gail Hamblin, of Audubon. 

Specialist 4th Class Guadagno's MOS was 11B10 Infantryman. After serving for a year in Germany, he was designated for duty in Vietnam. After returning home to see his wife and son, he shipped out for Vietnam, where his tour of duty in Vietnam began on February 19, 1967. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry, 5th Cavalry Regiment (Airmobile), 1st Cavalry Division. Records are unclear as to weather he was serving with C Company or D Company at the time of his death.

On March 11, 1967 Specialist 4th Class Guadagno was killed in action in by small arms fire during the Battle of Phu Ninh, in Binh Dinh province, Vietnam while on a search and destroy mission.  

Guy Guadagno was brought home. He was buried at Beverly National Cemetery in Beverly, New Jersey. He was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star. He is memorialized on the Korean and Vietnam Memorial in Audubon, New Jersey
