CAMDEN, NEW JERSEY
SHIPBUILDING, SHIP REPAIR & SHIPYARDS
Being a waterfront town, Camden has a long and glorious history when it comes to shipbuilding. Camden had at least three shipyards that achieved world-wide fame. John H. Dialogue's shipyard was renown for its tugboats, the Mathis shipyard for yachts, and of course New York Shipbuilding Corporation for naval vessels of all types, as well as commercial vessels. This page is very much under construction, and will link together several other pages already on the site relating to shipbuilding, ship repair, and the waterfront. Phil
