CAMDEN, NEW JERSEY
21st Century Camden
(formerly titled What's Up in Camden - May 2003)
An old friend of mine, CRAIG CAMPBELL, has been sending pictures in of the Camden waterfront and of a few blocks historic homes in the Cooper Grant neighbor- hood, which is near Rutgers, the Nipper building, and Camden Field since May of 2003. Another friend, John Ciafrani, sent some really nice photos of the waterfront, taken in the summer of 2006, which you will find further down the page. I'm going to create a new page just about the waterfront, as Dave Boone, well-known for his paintings of tugboats and waterfront scenes, has furnished a wonderful collection photos and drawings. |

If you didn't miss Camden, you probably wouldn't be visiting this website. Why not COME BACK? I've been here 28 years, and couldn't imagine living anywhere else. There simply are so many advantages that far outweigh the over-emphasized-in-the-media disadvantages. If you have never lived in Camden, you don't know what you are missing. I met Craig Campbell back in 1977 when I was living on Penn Street. Craig is THE man to see if you are looking to come to what is arguably the most eclectic neighborhood in South Jersey. -Phil
